If you are between 13 and 30 years of age you may be eligible to participate in an important new study on how people make decisions about different things. You will need two friends (same gender) to come with you to participate. It's simple and fun, you'll do the study on a computer with a Temple University researcher. It takes about 2-1/2 hours and you will each receive $50 for your time. Those under the age of 18 need parental consent. If you are interested, please contact Hilary or Shannon in the Department of Psychology at Temple University, by phone or email.
Phone number: (215) 204-1188

|Saturday, May 7th, 2005|
So, if you did your taxes, how did you bill your lab rat gig?
I think I filled out "medical research participant", but I didn't take off anything good for deductions, unlike at my other contract/1099 job.
"what do you do?" "freelance medical research."
hey guys. so i'm off the parexel study because they have very specific heart requirements and i have a heart murmur. i've been setting up screening appointments, and i was wondering if anybody knew anywhere else that does inpatient stuff and takes women that i haven't called... so far i've called MDS, Wyeth, Bristol-Meyers, BASi, NIDA, NIMH... who am i missing? is there anything new in philly? i'm pretty much looking between virginia and new york.

i'll put this community to use:
YONI (or anyone else who might have information)- tell me about some up-and-coming studies. in philly, close to philly, whatever. i've decided i can comprimise a little bit and eat some non-vegan things, so don't be slow when it comes to ones that involve longer stays!

Welcome to the first Livejournal community dedicated to medical studies.
My name is Yoni and God knows I'm a lab rat. I just finished up a study at Thomas Jefferson University (though the study was for Merck) that ran for way too long and paid far too little.
I've long felt that there was a need for this type of community online, a place where we can get together and share tips and info about upcoming studies and the such.
I know about studies in the Philly area and in NJ, but that's about it. Hopefully some other folks will show up and we can get this experiment started.
